Cutting Iron On Vinyl

I let the pillow cover cool for a few seconds and then i peeled back the plastic. If desired you can use the marker to sharpen up the lines after you are done tracing. Place your vinyl vinyl side down onto the preheated area and flip over your shirt.

If you are ironing on to a pillow you can place a piece of a thin fabric over the vinyl. With a hot iron mine is a little down from cotton so not the max hottest setting iron through the plastic. Gently pull on an edge if the vinyl comes up with it iron some more. Press the iron down on the vinyl for 20 30 seconds then lift the iron before repositioning to a new area of vinyl.

Htv has a clear plastic carrier sheet that covers the top of the vinyl and the other side is where the heat sensitive adhesive is it is not sticky or tacky to the touch. Place the tissue paper over the clear backing side of the vinyl and re trace over the pencil marks with a fine tipped permanent marker. This is a great step by step project for beginners. Iron over the back of the shirt or fabric for about 20 25 seconds.
